Vertical Roof Carports | Metal A-Frame Carports
Vertical Roof A-Frame Carports feature the top of the line of the three roof systems that we offer. The roof transitions to the legs with a welded pin. The corrugated ridges in the roof panels are oriented vertically, or up and down, like metal roofing on a house. They are popular because they feature the A-Frame style, they allow water, snow, and other debris to exit the roof much easier than the other two designs, which also makes for a longer-lasting roof system, and they look more expensive as compared to the Regular Roof carports. In addition, they have steel framing to support the vertical roof panels, have ridge cap trim at the apex of the roof, and have a deeper trim on the sides and ends. They are often used for 1-car shelters, double or 2-carports, for recreational vehicle storage, larger metal shelters, and for combo carports or carports with storage buildings. Vertical Roof Carports | Vertical Carport Prices
Without a doubt, our vertical roof carports feature the preferred roof system. With the additional structural components and the orientation of the roof panels, this unit has the longest lasting roof system that we offer. For all metal carport shelters over 36' long and all units wider than 24', we only recommend this preferred roof system.
The advantages of vertical roof carports are that the roof panels are oriented vertically, or up and down. Rain, snow, leaves, trash, etc, slide off of the valleys of the corrugated roof panels. With the ridges oriented horizontally on the other two roof system, those items are impeded by the horizontal corrugated ridges. The unit gets dirty faster on those units and the panels do not last as long. In addition, the vertical roof carports and garages have:
- The A-Frame roof design, giving the unit better curb appeal
- Vertically Oriented Roof Panels
- A true ridge cap trim at the apex of the unit. There is no ridge cap on the other roof systems
- Galvanized steel roof purlins. There are no purling on the other roof systems
- Welded pin transition for the roof to the leg
- Deep trim on the sides and the gable ends
